Revised Team Formation and Project Submission for Project-Based Learning (PBL)

All students are hereby informed that there is a revision in the Project-Based Learning (PBL) team formation and project submission process.

As per the earlier arrangement, students were working on separate projects for the subjects. Under the revised PBL structure, the subjects will now be combined within their respective semesters, and students will be required to submit one integrated project for the combined subjects.

1. 3rd Semester: Data Structures + C/C++

• For the 3rd Semester, the subjects Data Structures and C/C++ will now be considered together for PBL.
• Students working on separate projects for Data Structures and C/C++ will now be required to develop and submit one combined project.
• The project should demonstrate the practical application of Data Structures concepts along with C/C++ programming concepts.

2. 5th Semester: Operating Systems + DBMS

• For the 5th Semester, the subjects Operating Systems (OS) and Database Management Systems (DBMS) will now be considered together for PBL.
• Students working on separate projects for OS and DBMS will now be required to develop and submit one combined project integrating relevant concepts from both subjects.

3. Revised Team Formation

• The teams will be formed based on the team entries submitted earlier for Data Structures (3rd Semester) and Operating Systems (5th Semester).
• Students are not required to submit their team details again. The previously submitted entries will be used for forming the revised PBL teams.

4. New Team IDs

• Since the PBL structure has been revised, the previous Team IDs will not be considered.
• New Team IDs will be allocated for the revised PBL teams based on the entries submitted earlier for Data Structures and Operating Systems.

5. Mentor Reassignment

• With the revised team formation, mentors will also be reassigned.
• Each PBL team will be assigned one mentor, who will guide and supervise the team for the combined project.

6. Important Instructions

Students are requested to note that the final PBL projects will be:

• Students should therefore not continue with separate projects for the individual subjects. The project must appropriately integrate the concepts of both subjects within the respective semester.
• Further details regarding the new Team IDs, mentor allocation, project guidelines, and submission schedule will be communicated separately.
• All students are requested to take note of the above changes and cooperate with the revised PBL process.

The previous 2 notices with Ref no.:GEU/CSE/PBL2/26-O and Ref. No.: GEU/CSE/PBL3/26-O now remains null and void.
