Newton School is organizing India’s premier monthly Online Coding Contest for all the college students across all the colleges in the country. Students can compete with India’s top university and have experience of coding challenges like never before.

Notice: Major Project Phase-I Design Document/SRS Submission Notice

All 7th Semester students are notified of submission of Major Project Phase-I evaluation. The evaluation is completely offline. The evaluation is for 100 marks.

Phase-I evaluation consist of submitting a professional standard Design Document/SRS. Though there is no specified format you are expected to adhere to best practices. You can also use standard templates for the report preparation.

Based on the nature of the project your report may contain the following (it is a suggested outline only, consult your supervisor for guidance):

  • Front Page (Sample front page at: http://csitgeu.in/wp/samplefrontpage.pdf  – Change the year to 2021
  • Certificate of Supervisor (Signed with date) (Matter of certificate at: http://csitgeu.in/wp/ccontent.pdf )
  • Table of contents, figures, and tabular data
  • Problem Summary, Aims, and Objectives
  • A detailed description of the problem with facts and figures
  • Detailed Literature Review
  • Methodology to be adopted
  • UML Diagrams detailing class relations, E-R Diagram, Database Schema, etc. wherever applicable
  • Expected Outcome
  • References in IEEE style

Note: There is no minimum or maximum prescribed number of pages. Every major heading should start on a new page. Uniform standard should be maintained regarding font and size. Each figure and table should be properly numbered and have captions.

You should prepare your report to the satisfaction of your supervisor. Only after your supervisor provides the consent you should bind the report.

If you have not submitted your details in google form as per previous notice you can still submit the report, but marks will be deducted.

Changes in project title is permitted with consultation with your guide/supervisor, you do not send any application for that. However, the title in the report should be the final one.

Method and Date of Submission: After preparing the Design Document it should be spiral binded. The report should be submitted to your supervisor only latest by 1 PM of Thursday, 16 December. Once you submit the report to your supervisor you have to confirm the same using the following link:

45 percent of marks will be provided by the supervisor based on his/her evaluation as well as progress of work during the semester and 55% marks will be provided by an expert panel based on the report.

All the students of 5th Sem and 7th Sem are hereby notified that the various activities including End Term Practical Exams, Project Viva, Industrial Training Viva etc., will be scheduled as per the following dates. The exact schedule class-wise will be displayed later.

Students are advised to plan their travels etc. accordingly.

Important Notice: 5th Semester Students(Practical)

Important Notice for 5th Semester Students

All 5th semester students are notified of the following.

  1. The End Term External Practical Exams and Mini Project Evaluation will be scheduled after the End Term Theory Exams. The students are required to have their Term Work completed, checked and binded during the Practical Exams. They are required to demonstrate the working of their mini projects, have their code with them and submit a report for their Mini Project Evaluation. The schedule of The End Term External Practical Exams and Mini Project Evaluation will be displayed subsequently.
  2. The students will appear for Internal Lab Assessments from Monday, 15th Nov, 2021. These assessment is for 25 sessional marks. The Assessment will be done by the internal faculty members. The students will bring the printouts of their term work (not required to be in binded form). They will have to appear for writeup/execution/viva/mcq depending on the lab. The schedule of the Internal Lab Exams will be displayed.
  3. Placement Preparation classes will immediately start after completion of End Term Exams.

Keeping view of the above the students are required to prepare for best performance. They are also advised to make any travel plan accordingly as per the schedule.

Notice: External Practical Exam of 5th Sem

This is to notify all 5th-semester students that their External End Term Practical Exams will start on 15th Nov 2021. The exact schedule will be displayed soon.

The students are advised to complete their pending lab works including checking of practical term work from their respective faculty members.
