The department is pleased to inform all B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) students that we have successfully established the student chapter for IEI (Institute of Engineers (India)), an engineers’ body eligible only for engineers governed by Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. Of India, on 30th August 2023.
This marks the proper beginning of a comprehensive vision aimed at fostering academic excellence, innovation, and professional growth. This esteemed initiative offers students a unique platform to become part of an international club, participate in a wide array of events, and access a supportive community.

Our vision for the IEI Student Chapter at Graphic Era Deemed to be University is multi-dimensional and encompasses the following key points:
1.Academic Excellence: We aspire to cultivate an environment where students can deepen their understanding of engineering principles and stay updated with the latest advancements in their field.
2.Innovation and Research: We encourage students to channel their creativity into innovative projects and research endeavors, thereby promoting a culture of continuous learning and exploration.
3.Professional Development: Membership in the IEI Student Chapter provides opportunities to enhance professional skills through workshops, seminars, and interaction with industry experts.
4.Event Participation: Members can actively participate in a variety of events, including technical competitions, conferences, and hackathons, thereby applying theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios.
5.Community Engagement: We emphasize community-building and the exchange of ideas, enabling students to collaborate with peers, share knowledge, and support one another.
Membership Fee: The nominal fee for a lifetime membership is INR 1,500, payable to IEI, Kolkata via online mode for a span of 6 years.
