Schedule of 8 Sem Major Project Viva and Important Instructions

The schedule of Major Project External Viva can be found here: Click Here. Please read the following instructions carefully:

1. The internal evaluators will share the link (Microsoft Teams) in the official whatsapp group of the sections. You have to login according to the schedule. Any updates will be shared by the internal evaluators in the group only.
2. Students who have not submitted the report and video are NOT allowed to give external viva. If any such student who have not submitted the report and video enters the viva link and appear for the viva it will simply be considered Null and Void. Non submitters (except those who have already obtained permission) have already been marked Absent.
3. Keep the soft copy of your report which you have submitted with you. You have to open the report during viva whenever External wishes to see it.
4. IMPORTANT: It has come to notice that a number of students and groups have simply mentioned the name of a supervisor without even bothering to contact the supervisors. As such all students/groups should obtain completion certificate from the supervisor through email (The contents of the email can be found here: Click Here ) The students are required to take a snapshot of the mail and upload it to the same shareable google drive where the report and video has been uploaded. In absence of this a student will be marked Absent. The same should ideally be done before the external viva. However, you are allowed to proceed with the viva without it provisionally, but the same should be uploaded latest by 5 PM of 9^th June, 2021.
5. IMPORTANT: Students who are presenting the work done in an external organization as their final project should invariably get a no-objection certificate from the HR/Project Manager of the organization failing which the student will be marked Absent. Note that presenting the work done in an organization without permission is deemed illegal. The students can obtain the mail themselves and upload the snapshot in their shareable google drive or they can ask the concerned person to mail it directly to the email id: dibyahash.cse AT geu.ac.in  The last date for doing so is 5 PM of 9^th June, 2021.
6. Students should note that the External Experts are Senior Professors from IITs and NITs and they should behave in a proper manner during the viva. Any behavior that is unbecoming of a student will be viewed seriously and will invite disciplinary actions.
