Notice: Absentees of Group Division Test for Placement Classes and Retest notification

The following students of 6th Semester (being promoted to 7th sem) did not appear for the group division test held on Jun 8, 2021 for placement classes despite being notified by CEC cell.

This is an important activity for the upcoming placements in 7th Sem and such an irresponsible attitude from students is not expected.

A repeat test for these students will be conducted for allocating them a group on Saturday, Jun 26, 2021, between 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The test will consist of 10 MCQs and 3 programming questions of which 1 is easy, 1 is medium and 1 will be hard.

If a student does not appear in the test disciplinary actions with respect to placements will be initiated.

All CSE(Core and IBM Specialization students) and IT students who have completed 6th semester and are being promoted to 7th Semester are hereby notified to give their preferences for choice of Elective by filling the following form.

Please choose the Elective after considering your technical interests and proficiency. Talk to your Mentor or any faculty member if you need help in choosing the Elective. Once chosen, the choice cannot be changed under any circumstances.

If you do not fill the Elective choice by the due date, you will be allotted an Elective by the Department based on operational factors and no representation will be entertained. So, ensure that you fill your choices.

An Elective will be offered only if a minimum of 60 students chooses a subject (the Department may lower the minimum requirement based on circumstances, but it is not guaranteed). It is henceforth essential that you give all choices in order of preference. You will be allotted your first preference if it is offered based on enough students choosing it, if not offered you will be allotted your second preference and so on.

The platform provides an opportunity to participate in skill building sessions, utilize available resources, converse with alumni on their career experiences, and be acquainted with the culture at Amazon. The objective is to help women students build long-term career in technology.

If you are a woman student who is pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering then you are at the right place. Amazon WoW will host sessions on tech and leadership development through the year. Who can participate?

Amazon WoW is open to all women students across engineering campuses in India.

General Instructions:

  1. Lab Exams with have both written/execution part and viva part. In the written part, apart from the lab problems there will also be MCQs. For Mini Projects, viva will be taken based on the report and videos already submitted.
  2. The timings will be strictly followed.
  3. The exams will be held through different modalities (such as Hackerearth, Moodle, email etc) based on the number of students.
  4. With each subject, the name of the faculty evaluator is given. All students are directed to contact the concerned faculty member to understand the modalities of the exam.
  5. Students failing to appear in the exams on the given dates will be marked ABSENT.

NOTICE: REPEAT EVALUATION FOR MINI PROJECT 4TH SEM FOR NON-PERFORMING AND ABSENTEE STUDENTS

During the External Evaluation of Mini Project for 4th semester students it was found that the performances of many students were unsatisfactory Few students were too casual in their work and many instances of plagiarism were also detected. Also, few students were absent.

Though it was previously decided that no repeat chance will be given, because there was a precarious situation arising out of Covid19 pandemic, it has now been decided to provide a repeat chance for evaluation. Please go through the following instructions carefully.

Note that this chance of repeat is one-off chance provided due to the pandemic situation and no such opportunities will be provided in the future in any semester. Also, this is the final chance for the repeaters and absentees and any student who fails to perform satisfactorily will get Failed grade. Any repeater student who does not appear for the repeat evaluation will be given the marks obtained in the first evaluation. Absentees who chose not to appear will be marked Absent.

Notice: Evaluation of Repeat and Absentee students of 8th Sem Major Project

The following final year students were absent or being repeated due to unsatisfactory performance during the Major Project External Evaluation. Considering that this is their final semester the Department has decided to give a final chance to reappear for the Evaluation with the following constraints.

  1. The students who were Absent will be evaluated only out of 75 marks. 25% marks are being deducted.
  2. The students who have been given a repeat chance for unsatisfactory performance are required to improve their reports and project and reappear for the evaluation. 10% marks will be deducted. In the event that the student is not interested in reappearing for evaluation they will get the marks as per first evaluation.

The evaluation of both these categories will be held on Monday. 21 June, 2021.

All Absentee/Repeat students who desire to appear for the evaluation are required to fill the details in the following form latest by 5 PM of Saturday, 19 June, 2021.
